Hand in Hand Free Methodist Church

Our Mission

We purpose to grow deeper and wider in Christ Jesus. We believe everyone is on a spiritual journey whether they realize it or not. And just as Jesus came to seek and save the lost, we are devoted to coming alongside anyone from any walk of life who is curious about what it means to trust and follow Christ. We are also committed to challenging Christians to continually become more like Him in character and obedience to His commands.

OUR LEADERSHIP -- Setting the Course Biblically

Our leadership purpose to stay in prayer and in the word, seeking God for His direction in our congregation. We intentionally work toward unity in the community with other leaders and churches, knowing that we are all part of the family of Christ. We look forward to worshipping side-by-side in heaven one day. Our desire is to see all the churches in our area experience God's blessing and presence. As such, we see ourselves as stewards of this local body, but place great importance on being functioning members in the larger body of Christ as well.

We have established leaders in positions to enable the smooth flow of the work of the ministry, to ensure organizational details are taken care of, and to ensure personal and financial accountability.

Our leadership:

Lead Pastor: Jim Payne, Main Location

Associate Pastor: Herb Rice, Main Location

Associate Pastor: Ken Yentzer, Main Location, Harvest

Home Group Leader (Ladies Group): Caroline Payne

Prayer Chain Coordinator: Donna Newton

Elected Board: In addition, we have a separate elected board that regularly meets to ensure financial and administrative functions and accountability. We take seriously our desire to be above reproach in all things.

A Member of The Churches of the Twin Tiers (COTTT)

At Hand in Hand, we see unity with believers from all churches, both globally and within our community as being important to Jesus, and so its important to us (John 17:20-23). As believers, we have an opportunity to be a part of answering Jesus' dieing prayer for His church. That is why we have partnered on a local level with COTTT. COTTT's VISION is that the many Christ-honoring congregations would demonstrate their oneness in Christ by engaging together in activities as the Church of the Twin Tiers, praying, worshipping, and serving Christ together believing that He will transform the Twin Tiers.
